Meine Frau und ich haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, Daisuke war jederzeit erreichbar, sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Bei Daisuke und Yuki kann man eintauchen in die Vorstellung, wie man früher in einem kyoter Holzhaus gelebt hat. Perfekte Kombination aus antiker Einrichtung und moderner Ausstattung!
Daisuke and Yuki are amazing hosts with such kind hospitality. The home is very traditional and beautiful with the added bonus of an antique store inside. I plan on staying here again on my next visit to Kyoto. Daisuke-san's traditional house is really beautiful, the photos don't do it justice.
The morning light coming through the sliding doors from the minuscule garden will be one of my best memories from Japan : What's more it's been updated: the kitchen is really functional and the bathroom is very pretty and agreeable to use. The neighbourhood is charming and quiet, with a subway station just a few minutes away and bus stops for lines going to the centre and most of the temples.
Daisukesan is the most helpful host, always offering to lend a hand, and his mother is a very nice lady. She was really welcoming, especially to our kids, and she even cooked delicious okonomiyaki for us!
I couldn't recommend staying there more :. This is an absolutely amazing traditional Japanese guest house which will make you feel like a local. We've never experienced such amazing hospitality before: our hosts came to pick us up from the subway station to ensure we would not get lost, they offered us green tea and showed us around the house and explained what the area had to offer. The house is truly wonderful: very large and well equipped.
